Ryan Wood

Head Coach

Ryan, a Winnipeg, Manitoba native, joins the club with a very experienced and successful coaching background where he compiled a career record in the GMHL including playoffs of 191-33-4. Starting with the Bradford Bulls in 2013-14, the Tottenham Steam from 2014-2016 and the New Tecumseth Civics.

Ryan’s teams won 4 straight Division Championships along with 2 Russell Cup Championships, one with the Bulls and one with the Steam. Wood then went on to coach 3 successful seasons in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League leading the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners to 2 Division finals. As Head Coach & General Manager in the multiple Junior A Leagues, Ryan has helped advance 23 players to the NCAA D3 level, 5 to the CIS, 15 to the European minor pro leagues and 12 to ACHA D1 programs. Ryan has also served as Canadian Scout for the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the NAHL.

Ty Hogben

Assistant Coach

Ty brings a wealth of Hockey knowledge and ability to develop and motivate players. Ty was the former Assistant Coach of the Midland Flyers (PJHL) 2020-2024 after completing his Jr playing career as a member of the Flyers. Ty will be a great asset to the future of our program as we look to develop great character players on and off the ice.
